OCD is a disorder in which people have recurring, unwanted thoughts, ideas, or sensations (obsessions) that make them do something repetitively (compulsions). Repetitive behaviors like hand-washing, checking things, and cleaning things can interfere with a person's day-to-day life and social interactions.

Symptoms

OCD is diagnosed when obsessive or compulsive thoughts last more than an hour each day and interfere with daily activities of a person.
